Psychology tutoring for GCSE, A-Level and university.
Hi, I'm Taeona, a PhD researcher at King's College London. I tutor psychology one-to-one, online or in person across London and Buckinghamshire.
About me
Hi, I'm Taeona.
I'm a full-time PhD researcher at King's College London, where my work focuses on how children develop language and learn, particularly after the pandemic.
Before that I completed a BSc in Psychology at Cardiff University and an MSc in Applied Paediatric Neuropsychology at UCL.
Something I care deeply about is Scientific outreach - I believe science should be accessible to anyone interested in learning about it! I write for a mental health magazine, host focus groups for women who gave birth during the pandemic, and have secured grants to translate my work to an App, open to the NHS and the general public. I am passionate about being able to break down complex topics into bitesized, digestible chunks for all ability levels - which lends itself well to tutoring. In fact, I recently was nominated for an Outreach and engagement award at Kings for this work!
Alongside my research I work directly with primary school children daily, and have supported students at every level from primary through to postgraduate. I've held formal Student Mentor and Academic Representative roles at both Cardiff and UCL, and spent six years as a qualified gymnastics coach working with children from age 3 upwards.
I'm positive, capable and work well with young adults. I have experience working with neurodivergent learners and am comfortable tailoring my approach to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles.
